Sanctification. (Part Three)

There are also people we we must separate.

"Do not be deceived: Bad company corrupts good morals. "1 Corinthians 15:33

"My son, if sinners entice thee, consent thou not win ... My son, do not put yourself on the road with them, turn away thy foot from their path "Proverbs 1:10,15

" Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, that does not stop on the way of sinners, who sit in the seat of mockers. " Psalms 1:1

"I beseech you, brethren, take care those who cause divisions and offenses contrary to the teaching you received. Stay away from them. "Romans 16:17 - Titus 3.10

For our associates we still do not pay enough attention to warnings like the Apostle Paul:

" I've written in my letter not to associate with sexually immoral,-not in an absolute manner with the fornicators of this world, or with the covetous and swindlers, or with idolaters, otherwise you would have to leave the world. Now, what I've written is not to have relations with someone who named a brother, is immoral or greedy, or idolater or a slanderer, or a drunkard, or robber, not even eating with such a man. What have I to do with judging those outside? Is it not those inside you to judge? For those outside, God judges. Remove the wicked from among you. "1 Corinthians 5. 9-13

Separated for God

is the positive element of sanctification "separate from ... to ..."

As I wrote above, to sanctify is to separate the action, away from evil, is set apart, but for something else: God.

"Neither yield ye your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but you give yourself to God as being alive from the dead as you were, and offer your members to God as instruments of righteousness. Romans 6:13

"If anyone purge himself by abstaining from these things, it will be a vessel unto honor, sanctified, useful to his master, capable of every good work. "2 Timothy 2:21

We'll come back.

God sanctifies us

intervention of God in our sanctification is the key factor that makes it possible, because without that, despite our good will and all our efforts, we do can not do it alone.

"May the God of peace sanctify you wholly; and your whole being, mind, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ! He who calls you is faithful and he will. "1 Thessalonians 5.23/24

From the beginning of our conversion, God sanctifies us, He sets us apart as a people belonging to him, so that we become participants of divine nature and escape the corruption that exists in the world through lust. 2 Peter 1:4

"Jesus Christ our Savior, has given himself for us to redeem us from all iniquity, and be a people who belongs, purified by his zealous and for good works. "Titus 2:14

is the first element of sanctification, called the sanctification of the Spirit, because the same way that the Spirit of God was at work when creating to separate light from darkness, day or night ... (Genesis 1) , He acts in us from the moment we give ourselves to God, to accomplish the work of our sanctification.

God separates us so we put aside for Him. It puts us apart to be his people, we marked with his seal, the seal of the Spirit. 2 Corinthians 1:22

"In Christ we have been sealed with the Holy Spirit was promised, after believing in Him, when we heard the word of truth, the Gospel of our salvation. "Ephesians 1.13

" For you, brethren beloved of the Lord, we must always give thanks to God, because God chose you from the beginning for salvation through sanctification the Spirit and belief in the truth. "2 Thessalonians 2:13

The apostle Peter writes to "those who are elected according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience, and they involved the sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ. "1 Peter 1:2

Sanctification is God's program for her children. It is his will. That's what he calls us. But he also knows that to succeed in this program we need his help.

Paul said that if its own forces, and So as ours, are insufficient to overcome the natural tendency to sin there is a chance of winning

"Thanks be to God through Jesus Christ our Lord. "Romans 7:25

We can affirm that sanctification is one of the things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. Romans 8:37

never forget this statement of the Apostle Paul:

"He who called you is faithful, and he will. "1 Thessalonians 5.24
