Autreppe-Roisin. Terminus Belgian! Before entering the station, trains crossed the monumental bridge that spans 15 meters towards the road and Great Autreppe Honnelle. We're at 11,123.15 meters from the starting point of the line Dour. station Roisin-Autreppe presented different faces over time. The station, in its final form, consisted of the vast main building constructed following the model of the state in 1873, a hangar and a cargo yard equipped with a loading ramp. The passenger building was equipped with a beautiful wrought iron canopy. The station was equipped with two platforms: one for Track 1 to France and that of channel 2 to Belgium. This wharf "Belgian" was also once protected by a canopy attached to a building customs disappeared since the 1920s. We are just a few hundred meters from France ... which has always been lukewarm about the axis border. In 1914, the eve of the conflict, the French had, by caution, stopped the direct international traffic. In 1939, the rails were removed border side France.
Welcome to Station Angre! To reach this station, the line of railway has necessitated the construction of many structures, including the singular bridge deck to 6.135 km, below, the passage of St. Peter Brook has its headwaters at ive, in the middle of the pedestrian and, upstairs, one of the convoys. The halt angroise received a temporary infrastructure for the arrival of the railway in 1872. The station itself was only built about 1890: a main building with a waiting room, the office of the Chief and his apartment upstairs, a 8 acres of garden, well, a toilet, a yard and a shed to the goods with two sidings, a bridge to weigh the cars and trucks and a loading ramp. Besides the few passenger trains daily, ran an important Angre comings and goings of goods, despite the absence of private connections: beet pulp, coal, raw materials for factories chicory, sugar, "colonial goods" bullets hops and beer wagons from Louvain to bottling in local breweries ...
The halt of Audregnies punctuates the entry in the countryside of the hinterland via line 98A between Dour and Roisin-Autreppe. The little station was founded in 1882 with the arrival of the railroad in the area. Infrastructure Audregnies station, located on the right side of the floor en route to Montignies-sur-Roc were quite impressive: toilets, office receipts and garden of 11 acres coupled with another of more than 1.25 acres ... the pride of the station-master! The station was equipped with a loading ramp, a large paved courtyard for the transit of goods, some lodges technical workers of the track. The main building, built on a very "functional" and without stylistic research imposed by the state since 1873, was equipped with a floor occupied by the station master and his family.
The breakpoint The Pantry is just behind the old monastery Audregnies now developed to a nursing home. Wharf, disappeared today, a wooden wagon closed, a cart equipped with a roof, located on the right towards Roisin, served as shelter for travelers. Just after the breakpoint was located PN 45, unguarded. The house nearby was that of an old prick of the track. It was occupied by the widow of a railroad worker, Ms Cauvin at the end of 50s. If any trace of the breakpoint has disappeared, the little house is still there ... "My Pantry".
Wihéries: the industrial line and the line of the State to
The arrival of the railway in the High Country on 1 May 1882, opening day of the line between Dour and Audregnies. Wihéries is the first stop after the station "mother" of Dour. The station is located astride the villages and Elouges Wihéries, a political choice and ... géograhique. Policy since the establishment of the station "satisfied" citizens of both villages. Geographic because the profile to the rugged High Country imposes the straightest line possible. Initially equipped with a temporary wooden building, Wihéries will develop in stop and receive the honors of a true main building Traveler type 1893 from the State. Here crossed the line industrial West of Mons that plunging colliery Ferrand, 98de state line 98A, which was traveling to the High Country ... The village of Dour is connected to France via Quiévrain station Elouges a railway line opened in 1873. A second outlet to France, for Roisin by opening up the High Country, will be launched on 1 May 1882 for the section "Dur-Audregnies, and June 12 of that year, for Section Audregnies-Roisin-Autreppe . one hand therefore, can earn Dourois Valenciennes correspondence with the international line. The location of the village dourois has its station as a hub to the Hexagon, to Blanc-Misseron via line 98, and Elouges Quiévrain (1873), to Bavay via line 101 and Autreppe-Roisin (1882). A boon for the "border" of the time ... But original purpose of the railway at Dour was essentially the transport of coal, that, inter alia, production of this monster that was the Great Fire machine, connected to the station coal douroise.
line Dour in Roisin-Autreppe consisted of five stations (Dour, Wihéries, Audregnies, Angre, Roisin-Autreppe) and two breakpoints (The Pantry and Angreau). The international railway line has been commissioned in 1822 and closed to traffic in 1960 (passengers) and 1961 (goods). We are out of the station Dour ... a beautiful Sunday in 1945.
